Block road project at Lakhipur

SILCHAR, Jan 1: The 2 km stretch of CC block road project connecting Fulertal with Lakhipur was completed recently. The works including CC block laying were launched under Lok Priya Gopith Bordoioi Pakipath Nirman Achoni scheme of the state government. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs.1.48 crore.

The project was iugurated by Rajdeep Goala, Lakhipur MLA, in the month of December 2014. Rimi Paul, chairperson, Pulok Jyoti Das, vice-chairman, and commissioner of ward no. 10, of Lakhipur municipal board took persol initiative into the works to see that the project was completed within the stipulated time period of completion.

The works were carried under the supervision of PWD (R) of the district. T T D Daulagopu, SDO (Civil), said that the residents of the area cooperated with the sub divisiol administration to see that the project was accomplished successfully.
