Blood dotion camp held

SHILLONG, Jun 18: A voluntary blood dotion camp was organized by Eastern Air Command of Indian Air Force, today coinciding with World Blood Donor’s Day.  The camp was held at Station Medicare Centre (SMC), HQ EAC in collaboration with blood transfusion team from Regiol Blood Bank (RBB) and Meghalaya AIDS Control Society, Shillong.  The objective of the camp was to encourage Air Force personnel and their dependents to dote blood in aid of anemic pregnt ladies of the state where infant mortality and materl mortality rates are higher than the tiol average.  The camp was iugurated by President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local). Around 72 personnel registered to dote blood voluntarily on the occasion.
