Bodies recovered

SHILLONG, Feb 1: Police recently recovered an unidentified male body from the city. According to police on January 24, at around 8 am they were informed by the public that a body of a man was lying behind Durga Workshop in Boucher. Police said that the man was approximately 40-45 years old and was wearing a black-T shirt, brown checkered shirt, olive green sweater, black adidas jacket, white and orange shorts and black trousers.  Police said that inquest and other formalities have been observed and the dead body has been forwarded to SDM & HO, Civil Hospital Shillong for conducting post mortem.  The body has been kept in the civil hospital morgue for identification and relative have been asked to contact the police. Meanwhile, in another incident, on January 31 at around 3:45 pm, the dead body of one Romius Lyngdoh (32) was recovered from Nongpiur village in Upper Shillong.
