Bodo film Nwngni Thakainw at final stage

KOKRAJHAR, July 3: The shooting of Bodo film Nwngni Thakainw is in final stage and is likely to be released soon after the editing is over. This was informed by the director and script writer of the film, Rojen Narzary. He said the shooting of the film was almost complete while remaining part of song section is being shot. He said Nwngni Thakainw would be the first film produced by the Bodo Cine Producers’ Association (BCPA). The association has decided to continue its project every year by producing films by inducting new and old faces to encourage the budding artistes. He also said they would look forward to overcome the shortcomings and certain problems in the Bodo film industry. He hoped that the new film would be in high demand in the market as the artistes had been working hard for the success of the film.

The mahurat of the film was taken place on June 3 at Chengbagan in Chirang district. The Minister of WPT&BC, Chandan Brahma switched on the camera on the occasion of mahurat in presence of BTC deputy chief Kampa Borgoyary and former Speaker of the council Paniram Brahma. The programme was also attended by the vice-president of Dularai Boro Harimu Afat (DBHA), Jogeswar Brahma and former president of the Bodo Cine Artistes’ Association (BCAA) Bikash Basumatary and other artistes. The artistes of the film are Bigrai, Somaina, Simple, Bikash (Laloo), Isha, Monjil, Subarna, Janali, Jwngma, Biswal and others.
