Bodo Samaj hails creation of autonomous council

KOKRAJHJAR, Jan 8: Dularai Bodo Samaj (DBS) and Bodo Writers’ Academy (BWA) today welcomed the Chief Minister’s announcement for creation of autonomous council for the Bod0-Kachari people living outside the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). Talking to reporters at Kokrajhar Press Club here today Bodo Samaj president Rajen Boro, vice president of Bodo Writers’ Academy and Rajen Basumatary said, “We welcome the Chief Minster’s announcement for creation of autonomous council for Boro- Kachari people outside BTC.” They said the Booo-Kachari council would be an initiative for development of the Boro-Kachari people living outside the BTC who are deprived from all fronts. They urged the state government for initiating necessary official process and formation of interim council before the notification of Assembly election.
