GAON, April 2: The body of a three-month old baby was recovered from a pond at Borkula Palengtali village in gaon on Monday morning. According to sources, the mother of the baby had allegedly killed the baby two days ago and thrown the body into a pond near their residence. But on Monday morning, some local people saw the body of the baby floating on the water and informed the local Bebejia Police. Later, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the baby. In connection with the incident, soon after the prelimiry investigation, police picked up the mother of the baby, and till filing of this report interrogation was on.
