Dibrugarh, September 11:  A book titled  Niraxar Pora Axa Loi, authored  by senior advocate of Gauhati High Court, Upamanyu Hazarika, was formally iugurated by the former president of Axom Xahitya Sabha and noted writer, Dr. gen Saikia , at a meeting held at Utsav Auditorium of a local hotel on Saturday.

The meeting was attended amongst others by President Medal Award Winning Teacher, Gandheswar Saikia , former Dean of Aruchal University , Dr. Shristidhar Dutta , senior jourlist and former president of AAJU, I.Ahmed , president of Dibrugarh Press Club,  Prabir Chakraborty and  general secretary of AASU, Lurinjyoti Gogoi.

Earlier, while welcoming the guests and others, senior advocate and writer of the book, Upamanyu Hazarika, expressed his gratitude to all and hoped that his book, which aims to simplify and deconstruct the whole range of issues and problems that have been arising out of the illegal infiltration from Bangladesh into Assam, would throw some light into the unending migrant crisis in the State.

Dr gen Saikia , in his iugural address welcomed the noble initiative  of senior counsel, Upamanyu Hazarika in bringing out a book on the migration of illegal Bangladeshis into the State and how the stakeholders  through the legal process might find a solution for ascertaining the indigenous rights of the State people.  Talking further, Dr Saikia opined how the role of the Centre and State governments as well as the tive populace was equally important to find a lasting solution to the much ignored illegal Bangladeshi settlers issue in the inner perimeters of the State territory.

The sole effort of  Upamanyu Hazarika to provide a way out for resolving the issue in a pluralistic State like Assam is unwelcomed as shared involvement of the masses is indispensable for  securing the indigenous and home grown  land rights of the State people.

Later, speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shristidhar Dutta said that being a professor of History, he could relate to the unresolved glitches in the procedure of settling the long drawn infiltration concern by the previous governments, which he believed would be worked out on a permanent level by the present State BJP government.

Gandheswar Saikia, throwing light on the issues pointed out in the book, stated that only through the legal process that a solution could be met for bequeathing the origil rights of the people.

Senior jourlist  I.Ahmed , in his deliberation , voiced his opinion by stating that migration was a tural process but migration based on linguistic , minority or religious agendas  would never be welcomed. In his view, every mother had the right to secure the birth and rehabilitation rights of her children but if someone tried to hinder the interest of her children than such intentions would never be tolerated which were based on some intolerable agenda.

Ahmed even forwarded his suggestion on the fact that everyone should not be allowed to comment on the illegal infiltration issue which was wholly a legal matter. The exclusive prerogative of finding an elucidation to the matter lay on the shoulders of the legal persons, as legal route was the one and only way to hit upon a permanent solution.
