SHILLONG, June 24: A Book Launch & Panel Discussion of the Book, “The Infinite Dream” by Jasper Elias was held on Saturday at the Little Chef Café Laitumkhrah here.
The book was launched by Dr David R. Syiemlieh, Chairman, Union Public Service Commission of India and Dr. Anya S. Guha, Regiol Director, IGNOU, Shillong Office.
Dr Syiemlieh made his Remarks on the Book and also quoted some of the Poems from the book.
A panel discussion was also held on the book and the panelists were Jasper Elias, Dr Syiemlieh and Dr Guha.
“There is poetry in placing each word very carefully for the effect of the poetic expression and for the reader to muse on, to pause and ponder on what is portrayed,” Dr Syiemlieh speaking at the book launch.
The author, 36 year-old-Jasper Elias writes poetry that is insightful, soulfully accurate and culturally informed.
Having authored his first book of poetry titled “Letters Of The Streets,” available everywhere across the globe, in the year 2015, he is now back with his latest book of poetry, ‘The Infinite Dream’.
Schooled in Shillong’s prestigious St. Edmund’s School, Jasper Elias holds a degree in Business Administration and is the owner of a small “Mom & Pop” store.
