Boost in farm sector on cards in State

Itanagar, June 3: The agriculture sector in Arunachal Pradesh apparently gets a "big boost" with Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Panchayati Raj, Parshottam Rupala on Saturday assured the State government of full support in the development of farming sector.

The Union minister, who arrived in the State for a couple of hours, made this assurance during his meeting with Chief Minister Pema Khandu, an official communiqué stated on Sunday.

The Minister and Khandu discussed ways to make great strides on harnessing the agriculture potential of the State.

State Agriculture Minister Dr Mohesh Chai was also present during the meeting.
