Border Security Force bids farewell to DIG K N Suyal

Silchar: Mizoram and Cachar Frontier BSF Masimpur bade farewell to K N Suyal, Deputy Inspector General of BSF on his superannuation on Monday at Masimpur campus. Suyal joined BSF in 1980 and served for glorious 38 years in various borders, training institutions, headquarters and UN-mission on deputation to Bosnia. K N Suyal, DIG, is a native of DehraDun (Uttarakhand). He commanded BSF battalions and sectors in western and eastern borders of India. In recognition to his dedicated and unblemished service to the nation, he had been decorated with President’s Police Medal for meritorious service and President’s Police Medal for distinguished service in the year 2007 and 2017 respectively.

Dr K C Mahali, IG, of the Frontier, DIG/PSO R P Sanwal, DIG (G) J C Nayak, DIG (OPS) Sanjay Shiva, BSF Officers, subordinate officers and others gave an emotional farewell to the officer. The officer expressed his gratitude towards the BSF fraternity and especially for the northeastern states where he served for number of years. He termed Cachar as Dev Bhumi and expressed his gratitude. K. N. Suyal was presented with memento by Dr K C Mahali and R P Sanwal on behalf of the staff during the farewell ceremony. The Inspector General expressed his contribution towards BSF. K N Suyal has contributed a lot in development and beautification of BSF Campus Masimpur through his innovative and sustained efforts.
