Borgeet workshop held at Demow

DEMOW, July 7: Under the patronage of Demow Sangeet Kala Kendra in Rajmao Middle English School, a Borgeet workshop on old songs was held in order to encourage the young generation on Saturday. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Puna Gogoi, president of Demow Sangeet Kala Kendra. Lakhima Phukan, Principal of Demow Sangeet Kala Kendra gave the welcome speech. Artistes as well as Namrata Devi, Headmistress of Rajmao Middle English School, were felicitated by Demow Sangeet Kala Kendra in the programme. Hema Dutta along with Luhit Mohan Phukan, both loka sangeet artistes, provided training to the students in the workshop. Loka sangeet artistes Kali Prasad Reddy and Madharam Mudi were also present.
