Boxer Shyam wins gold at Thailand invitatiol

April 8: India’s Shyam Kumar won a decisive bout to win the 49kg gold

in the Thailand Invitation Intertiol Boxing Tourment here on

Wednesday.

In the fil, Shyam defeated local pugilist Surajit Thong And by a perfect margin of 3:0.

Later, Rohit Tokas and Manjit won a bronze each when they lost their respective semifils.

Tokas had to settle for the bronze when he went down 1–2 to Kazakh

Darkhan Zhumsakbayev in the 60kg category while Manjit lost the 69kg

last–four battle to another local player Apichet Saensit 1:2. (IANS)
