BPF leader joins BJP in parivartan rally

TAMULPUR, March 19: State BJP president Sidhartha Bhattachryya on Wednesday said that the people of BTAD have sought a change in the region. Addressing a massive ‘parivartan’ rally at Bhakatpara of Tamulpur in Baksa sistrict, the BJP president said, “The people of the BTAD are seeking change. We also want a change. We did not participate in the last BTAD polls but this time we will participate in the polls because we want the ongoing violence, killings, kidpping and extortion in the BTAD to be ended.”  

Addressing the gathering another BJP leader Hiten Goswami said that BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary has given free license to the crimils as a result of which violence have been a regular phenomenon in the region.

The rally was also addressed by BJP MLAs Ranjit Das, Monoranjan Das and Lok Sabha MP RP Sarma.

In the rally, former BPF leader and BTC EM Bamali Boro formally joined BJP.
