BPF sweeps Kalaigaon, Paneri seats

KALAIGAON, May 19: In 65 Kalaigaon LAC, BPF candidate and former MLA Maheswar Boro defeating his nearest AIUDF candidate tu Ram Boro by 17,638 votes. Maheswar Boro (BPF) bagged 47,203 votes while thu Ram Boro (AIUDF) got 29,565 votes. Sitting AGP MLA Mukunda Ram Choudhury remained in third place with 24,286 votes only. In 64 Paneri LAC, Kamali Rani Basumatari of BPF defeated nearest UPP candidate nda Ram Boro by 14,798 votes. The BPF candidate got 38,627 votes while the UPP candidate got 22,829 votes. Congress candidate Durga Das Boro (former AGP minister) got only 19,051 votes.
