BPF to fulfill its commitment to the people: Daimary

KOKRAJHAR, May 13: “The BPF wants four cabinet berths in four districts of the region so that the new ministers can carry out more development in the backward region.” said the Rajya MP Biswajit Daimary. He also mentioned that the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has decided to fulfill their commitment to the people of the region which is resolved in the 3rd triennial conference of the party held at Bodofa Cultural Complex, Kokrajhar which gets underway from today. Over seven thousand delegates from various districts of the state are taking part in the two day conference.
Talking to reporters, Biswajit Daimary said that BPF will discuss on the core issues. He said the party will discuss on the performance of the BPF in the last ten years whether their party could have fulfilled the aspiration of the people. He also said that BPF will decide to fulfill the commitment to the people. The party will take the area forward and all important issues would be discussed, he said adding that the party was taking views from the delegates.
Daimary said the new body of the BPF’s parent body; youth and women wings would be formed on Saturday morning. The new body would be formed based on the voice vote of the delegates. He also said the opinions from the delegates are being taken to in the delegate sitting.
The Rajya Sabha MP said that BPF contested in 13 constituencies and as per ground report, all thirteen candidates will win in this election. He said this time, the BPF allied with the BJP and AGP and definitely the three combined parties will form the government in Assam. He said the BJP, AGP and BPF combine will get at least 80 seats.
On the first day of the conference, the president of the BPF Hagrama Mohilary chaired the 55th sitting of the Central Working Committee meeting of the party and first delegate sitting.
