ITANAGAR :(Brig) BD Mishra Governor of Arunachal Pradesh met the Chief of the Army Staff General Bipin Rawat to discuss about recruitment and ‘Pay Back to Society Group’ at New Delhi on Friday.
The Governor conveyed the goodwill of the people of Arunachal Pradesh to the General for the latter’s initiative in conducting pre-recruitment trainings by the Army Units located in the State, increased number of recruitment rallies and for the proposed new battalion of Arunachal Scouts.
Governor Mishra briefed the Army Chief about the progress of the ‘Pay Back to Society Group’, which is the being promoted by the Governor. The project aims to ensure that larger number of youth from the State join the Armed Forces.
Bipin Rawat assured his best for the State and people of Arunachal Pradesh and said that Indian Army is always with the fellow citizens of this frontier State.
He also said that Arunachal Pradesh boys particularly those from higher reaches, will be an asset and recruited in the Indian Army for the security of the border with China. He expressed hope that youth of the State will utilize the opportunities of recruitment and more and more youth will be motivated to turn up for recruitment.
