For smooth conduct of the Bihu Sanmilan, an organizing committee has already been formed in this connection with Pur Rajkhowa as president, Dwijen Bora as acting president, Syed Manuwar Hussain and Atul Gogoi as general secretary. The organizing committee, with support from the people of Golaghat, has been working on a war-footing to hold the Golaghat Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan. Various competitions like Bor Bihuwati, Xaru Bihuwati, husori, jeng bihu and fresh flower decoration will be held. On April 26, famous singer Priyanka Bharali and a comedy group ‘Khichiri Sangbad’ will perform in the cultural programme. A souvenir Bihuwanwill be unveiled on the occasion.
