Brisk preparations on for Rongali Xamorani Utsav

GOLAGHAT, May 5:  Brisk preparations are going on in full swing to hold the Rongali Xamorani Utsav at Purabangla of Golaghat by Oikya Sena Asom (OSA), in collaboration with the people of Purabangla area, with a day-long programme on May 14.

 The general secretary of OSA, Toufik Ahmed said that for smooth conduct of the programme, an organizing  committee has already been formed with Haridev Tanti as president, Pradip Bora and Sanjib Bora as vice-president, and Jun Bora, Monir Ali and Sombhu Sobor as joint secretaries, along with different sub-committees. The organizing committee has been working on a war-footing way to complete the preparations for the Rongali Xamorani Utsav.

 The Rongali Utsav will start with flag hosting by the proprietor of Sanjib Tea Company, Sanjib Gogoi following smriti tarpan by Purna Sarengi, president of OSA Golaghat district committee. Later, art competition among the students, Bihu competition and prize distribution and felicitation programme will be held. In the cultural programme in the evening, singer Debajyoti Sarma, Nabajyoti Lekharu and Yusmita Bora will perform.
