BSF helps border villagers to retrieve boats from Bangladesh

Our Correspondent

Silchar, June 26: Going by its ethos, BSF has once again proved that the interest of nation and its citizen always comes first. BSF is always there to help anyone in need especially on border areas or far flung areas and at times keeping their personal comfort or safety at bay. On June 18, 3 boats of Indian villagers drifted to Bangladesh due to strong current and were literally lost. When the matter was brought into the notice of BSF persons deployed at BOP Kinokhal Ex - 131 Bn BSF, they promptly approached 41 BGB and requested to help in retrieving all the lost boats that have drifted to their area.

The BGB responded well and within 2 days returned those 3 boats through a flag meeting. The initiative of the BSF and cooperation from the BGB brought smiles into the faces of local villagers, thus strengthening the bond of mutual trust between the two forces (countries) on one hand and winning trust of own people on the other hand.
