BSF seizes arms, ammunition

SHILLONG, Jan 31: In an incident, BSF made a seizure of arms and ammunition from Barsora near the Intertiol boundary. A BSF party observed some suspected things were hidden beneath stones and camouflaged by the wild grass searched the area and removed the pile of stones and grass 3 unknown bore country made revolvers with 11 rounds were recovered from the spot. In addition a set of Camouflaged Dangri, Camouflaged Belt, Camouflaged T-Shirt, Civil Barmunda and Kala Patkk in a bag were also recovered from the spot. It has been revealed that these arms belong to Bangladesh crimils – Rashid, Sujan, Piyush, Appu and Akbar Ali. All these crimils have been involved in illegal activities in Rajaju, Khanjoy, Nongkhalam, Ansur, ngjori, Amar Singh, Kolagaon (coal quarries belt) areas in South West Khasi Hills and used to hide their arms /ammunition and clothing items in Indian jungle area.  In addition to all these, the BSF troops seized 399 cattle and other materials.
