Itagar, April 8: The Nyishi Elite Society has vehemently condemned the arrest of sub-divisiol officer (Telecom) BSNL in East Kameng District by the chief judicial magistrate, Seppa. The BSNL official was arrested on March 27 last over a billing dispute. Calling it a ‘clear case of blatant abuse of power’ it stated that ‘such arbitrary action of a Judicial Magistrate without an iota of common sense disgraces the institution of the third pillar of democracy for which the erring judge deserves to be shown the door outside from the judicial services.’ NES appealed the BSNL authorities to take-up legal recourse for a work friendly environment, a press statement issued here said.
