BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary inaugurates Bodoland Guest House at Howly

Kokrajhar: BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary on Wednesday inaugurated the newly-built Bodoland Guest House at Bennibari in Howly. The new three-storey guest house was built at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore under BRGF. Addressing the gathering, Mohilary said his council was working for the all-round development of the region.

He said the council had guest houses in New Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kokrajhar, Siliguri and another guest house at Chennai would be inaugurated soon. He also said his council would construct guest houses at Diphu in Karbi Anglong, Dimapur in Nagaland, Shillong, Nalbari and Nogaon where plot of lands had been acquired. He further said there would be Bodoland Guest house at Bengaluru and process of construction was going on.

Mohilary said the guest house at Howly would benefit the local people and also tourists visiting Manas National Park for accommodation. The programme was also attended by BTC EMs - Ansumwi Khunggur Boro, Rajib Brahma, Mritunjay Narzary, Deben Boro, MLAs - Thaneswar Basumatary and Moneswar Brahma, MCLAs - Gautam Das, Bijit Basumatary, Phalindra Basumatary, BTC Principal Secretary Biren Chandra Phukan and other party leaders.
