BTC contractual TET teachers seek regular salary, post regularization

TANGLA, May 28: BTC Contractual TET Teachers’ Association, Udalguri district committee, has hailed the ruling BPF which was successful in grabbing the four LACs of the district in the recent assembly polls -Udalguri, Panery, Mazbat and Kalaigaon.
The association also hailed the successful candidates of the constituencies like Rihon Daimari, Kamali Basumatari, Charan Boro and Maheswar Boro respectively in a press release issued by the president, bajyoti Baruah, working president Hemanta Deka and secretary Karu Kumar.
The press release further stated that on February 10, 2015, 3,400 TET teachers were appointed on contractual basis in the four districts of BTC, out of which the district has 1,346 teachers. Significantly in the last 15 months the teachers were deprived of regular salary and received wages of two months and 15 days only. The association has exhorted the new State Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and four legislators of BPF for regular payment of their salary as well as regularization of their posts.
