Buddha Purnima to be observed by Dibrugarh Bauddha Samity on May 18

Dibrugarh: Dibrugarh Bauddha Samity, a Buddhist religious, cultural, social and educational organization, will observe the 2563rd Buddha Purnima on May 18 at Dibrugarh Buddhist Temple, Graham Bazar.

In a press communiqué, Chief High Priest of Dibrugarh Buddhist Temple has invited everyone, cutting across all religious and linguistic barriers, to the event. The day is scheduled to start with prayers for the Buddhist Bhikshus at 6 am followed by distribution of breakfast and milk among patients and children at 8 am. Other important programmes include hoisting of the flag of Vishwa Buddha Sangha, religious programme and discussion on peace and amity from the perspective of Buddhism.
