Burglars, bike lifters arrested

Silchar, May 21: Cachar police arrested two notorious burglars and motor cycle lifters on Monday at around 4 in the morning. Jishu Das (25), son of Rabindra Das of Ashram Road, Biskuti, under Silchar Police Station and Raju Das (30) son of late Monindra Das of Barman Para Tarapur, under Silchar Police Station were arrested when they were trying to commit another crime. They were apprehended from College road, Silchar. Wrenches and other instruments used for house breaking and bike lifting were recovered from their possession. Jishu Das was involved in Silchar Police Station case no. 3207/17, under section 457/382 IPS and was charge-sheeted vide case no. 300/18 dated March 31, 2018.
