BVP to organize artificial limb and caliper fitting camp

DIBRUGARH, Jan 18: The Dibrugarh wing of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), which is socio-cultural, non- political organization that performs various activities like rendering help and assistance for the uplift of society as well as welfare of the economically backward people, will be organizing an artificial limb and caliper fitting camp in memory of Lt. Durga Dutta Bagaria, at the Lekh Chand Kanoi Hall, here on January 23 from 9 am, where assessment and measurement of limb will be done.

The scheduled camp will provide free artificial limb and caliper free of cost to the economically backward people of the region. The organizers of the camp and the members of BVP have therefore requested all the physically disabled people to attend the assessment camp. The Dibrugarh Branch of BVP has been from time-to-time organizing various projects such as free medical treatment, eye treatment camps, provided relief to flood affected people, adopted schools, organized artificial limb and caliper fitting camps and even promoted and marketed the local handicraft, in different places of the district with help, co-operation and support from the common public for the benefit of the people, especially the economically backward people.
