Cachar DC Laya Madduri Assesses Pace Of Public Work

Silchar: Cachar Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri visited Lakhipur Circle Office on Friday and assessed the pace of public work therein. During her visit at the local Town Hall, Madduri took stock of the persisting problems faced by the people of the sub-division and interacted with Circle officer PK Gupta, SDO Lakhipur Lalsim Hmar and chairperson of Lakhipur Municipality Sanghita Gurung.

She was appraised about pertinent issues like insufficient banks, vulnerable bridges and simmering social issues. She also inquired the need for making market sheds in rural areas.

On the other hand, people from the tea garden areas underscored the need for a parity of wages in the gardens of Barak and Brahmaputra valleys. Also, the Deputy Commissioner learnt about the pathetic condition of road from Pailapool to Harinagar. Madduri also took stock of the performances of the self help groups.
