Cachar DC Laya Madduri Interacts With People

Silchar: Cachar Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri visited Udharbondh Circle Office on Saturday. She was given a warm reception at the office by Circle Officer Kuldeep Hazarika. Interacting with the people, the Deputy Commissioner was made aware of the problems people are faced with.

Speaking their heart out to the Deputy Commissioner, locals of the area said that drug addiction has spread its tentacles fast in the vicinity and youths have become easy prey to the menace. Also, the residents said that the road has been vociferously encroached by a section of vested interest groups which is adding to the woes. Transportation is also a growing concern, they added.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the issues raised and directed the officials to address the issues. She also enlightened the local farmers about the new facility PM Kishan portal for farmers having own land of less than 15bigha. The Government will accord a financial benefit of Rs 6000 to the poor farmers.

Later Madduri visited the Block Development Office and took stock of the work affairs from BDO TJ Robert. Also she interacted with the people who had applied for settlement of claims and objections at the local NRC seva kendra.
