Case filed against 2 IAS officers, 3 others

GUWAHATI, Feb 14: A person, Joydev Das, has lodged an FIR at Panbazar police station against two IAS officers and three others on the mysterious missing of a file from Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).  A case (44/17) under Section 119/120(B)/188/34 IPC has been registered in the police station in this regard.

The two IAS officers are former GMC administrator Dr. AK Bhutani, who is currently a joint secretary to the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation, and former GMC Commissioner Rajesh Prasad, who is currently the Commissioner-Secretary of the Food and Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs, Assam. The other three are former associate planner of GMC Deepak Bezbaruah, GMC’s planning branch official Dilip Kumar Baishya and Diha Builders Entrade (P) Ltd MD Dhireswar Sarma.
