Case registered against vehicle dealers

JORHAT, March 31: Jorhat police have registered a case against five vehicle dealers of Jorhat town under section 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC on the basis of a complaint filed by one Hamidur Rahman of Titabor.  Rahman in his complaint stated that the car dealers charged Rs 49,000 illegally during the selling of a four wheeler which  is more than the actual price of the vehicle. The complaint also alleged the involvement of the DTO of Jorhat. Police said car dealers Mahindra and Mahindra, Bajaj, Amika and Pragati Motors were involved in the case.
