Chandrababu idu’s son Lokesh set to become minister

Vijayawada, Feb 26: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu idu’s son N. Lokesh appears set to be inducted in the state cabinet as the TDP politburo Sunday recommended his nomition to the state legislative council. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo, at its meeting at idu’s residence here, unimously recommended Lokesh’s candidature for the legislative council polls. The fil decision was left to idu, who is tiol president of TDP.

TDP politburo member S. Chandramohan Reddy confirmed that Lokesh, who is currently TDP General Secretary, will become a member of the upper house of legislature.

Party’s Andhra Pradesh unit president Kala Venkatrao proposed the me of Lokesh and all members supported it.

The highest decision-making body of the party also authorised idu to me candidates for council elections from local bodies and MLAs’ quota scheduled next month.

For last several months, there was buzz in TDP circles about Lokesh’s imminent induction in the state cabinet. The businessman-politician had said that he is ready to discharge any responsibility given by the party. (IANS)
