'Characteristic of Modi to malign previous governments'

New Delhi, April 16: The Congress on Thursday hit out at Prime Minister rendra Modi for his remarks in Cada that earlier India’s identity was “scam India” and he now has to change it around the world to “skill India”. “We are helpless... but to say that the prime minister has hurt the prestige of his position,” Congress leader And Sharma told the media here.  He said: “It has become characteristic of Modi to malign previous governments.” In his speech in Cada on Wednesday, Modi said: “Earlier, India was known as ‘scam India’, we want it should be known for ‘skill India’.” (IANS)
