Chenyin FC retain its top home-grown players for 2015 ISL

Cheni, May 15: Indian Super League (ISL) team Cheniyin FC has retained the services of its top home-grown players for this year’s tourment.

They retained strikers Balwant Singh, Jeje Lalpekhlua, defenders Dhachandra Singh, Abhishek Das and midfielders Harmanjot Singh Khabra, Jayesh Rane for the upcoming season.

Cherniyin reached the semi-fils of the tourment last year, losing to filists Kerala Blasters.

Balwant, Jeje and Dhachandra are playing in currently playing for Mohun Bagan while Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Abhishek Das are plying his trade for East Bengal in the I-League, reports goal.com on Friday.

Rane is playing for Mumbai FC.

Balwant was the first Indian to score a goal in the iugural ISL last year. Jeje scored four goals in 13 games for the Abhishek Bachchan co-owned side.

The 2015 ISL will kick-off in September and stretch till December 2015. IANS
