Chess player dead

GUWAHATI, April 29: Senior state chess player Dimbeswar Taye passed away this morning after a brief illness. He was 56. Taye represented Guwahati in the state championships on several occasions in both the open and veteran category. The adhoc committee of the All Assam Chess Association, Guwahati Chess Association, Assam Chess Club and GTC Chess Foundation had condoled his death.
