Chief Minister distributes water filters at Titabor

Titabor, July 3: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday distributed water filters to eight hundred beneficiaries under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan at a function held at Debo Kumar Bora Memorial Auditorium at Titabor. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Gogoi said for the all round development of all sections of the society, people belonging to backward classes must be given special attention. Without the development of the backward sections Assam can not progress. Therefore, development council for the people belonging to SC categories should be accorded top priority to expedite their development. He also said since without giving adequate impetus to education no state can progress, he reiterated his government’s commitment to the development of education right from primary to university level. Moreover, Gogoi also outlined his government’s preference to streamline the schemes like old age pension, widow pension, health care facilities and safe drinking water for all sections of the people of the society. MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi, Chief Executive Member of Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council Kumud Chandra Kachari, Deputy Commissioner, Jorhat Basant Vishal Solanki  and a host of other dignitaries were present at the programme which was by Titabor Mohukuma Anusuchit Jati Unnoyan Board.
