Assam government has opened at least 300 relief camps across the state. With large parts of what used to be towns and villages—still submerged under water, more than 16 lakh people got affected out of which 2.26 lakhs are in relief camps as the rescue and relief operations are underway at full swing.

ITC Ltd. has contributed in supplying Food rations (atta, biscuits) as a form of its contribution to the relief operations. The stocks have been shipped at the organization’s expense to five of the most significantly impacted regions of Dibrugarh, Bongaigaon, gaon, Morigaon and Goalpara.

In order to ensure that the above material reaches the flood victims, a team of employees from the company are working on the field in batches with the help of the local administration
