Chief Minister's Special Package Scheme launched in Margherita

MARGHERITA, January 25: Chief Minister’s Special Package Scheme was launched on Monday at Margherita India Club. Margherita MLA Pradyut Bordoloi launched the scheme in presence of Margherita Subdivisiol officer (Civil) Sanjeev Kumar Barhoi, Margherita Block Development Officer Dilip Terang, Margherita Block Congress Committee president Bhuban Handique, working president Basudev Chetry and the beneficiaries.

Margherita Block Development Officer Dilip Terang said that the Chief Minister’s Special Package would be given to beneficiaries in Margherita.  Under this scheme dwelling houses will be given to 1,000 beneficiaries; 800 minority people will get Rs 25,000 each, 1,000 women self-help groups will get Rs 5,000 each; 1,000 petty traders and artisans will get Rs 5,000 each; 1488 beneficiaries will get old-age pension and widow pension and land pattas will be given to tea garden labourers and ex-tea tribes.
