Chief Minister's Special Schemes iugurated in Hojai

Hojai, January 20: The Development Officers of Jugijan Block Girish Barua and Atul Chandra Barua, BDO of Dhalpukhri Block under 91 Hojai legislative assembly constituency and in the newly created district of Hojai, iugurated the Chief Minister’s Special Scheme in Hojai on Tuesday at the PWD inspection bungalow premises.

Under the Department of Panchayat and Rural Development of Assam, Block Development officer (BDO) of Jugijan, Girish Baruah distributed various cheques among the poor and needy people of Jugijan and Dhalpuhuri Development Blocks. Seven cheques of Rs 25,000 for homeless families, five cheques of Rs 5,000 for petty traders and artisans, six cheques of Rs. 5,000 for women self-help groups and 14 cheques of Rs 1,800 to pensioners were distributed.

In the distribution ceremony Lakhi Chakraborty, Dishambar Gosh, president of Dhalpuhuri Block, Zilly Choudhary, former Zila Parishad of Radhagar ZPC, and many more members of Jugijan Block and Dhalpuhuri Block were present.
