Chilarai Divas observed at gaon

Batadrava, Feb 11: Under the joint initiative of gaon district unit of Koch Rajbongshi Sanmilani and its Hatichung wing , the 507th birth anniversary of Mahabir Chilarai was observed with a day-long programme at Hatichung Chamuagaon Bor mghar,gaon on Friday. The president of the gaon district committee, Sarat Bora hoisted the flag in the morning which was followed by offering of floral tributes at Chilarai’s portrait by executive president of gaon district Koch Rajbongshi Sanmilani, Biren Raja and other district and wing members. To mark the celebration, Kamala Sundari and Guwalini traditiol dance of Koch Rajbongshi community were performed by two groups of girls. The open session was presided over by Sarat Bora, president of the gaon district Sanmilani. Secretary of the district committee, Kehuram Bora delivered the welcome address. Biren Mirdha, State president of Adivasi Jatiya Sangha, tea tribes and many dignitaries attended the session.
