Chilarai Divas observed

Joysagar, Jan 31: The Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union of Sivasagar observed the birth anniversary of the Biswa Mahabir Chilarai centrally in Joysagar area of Sivasagar district on Wednesday. The flag of the organization was hoisted by the district president Mril Dutta while floral tributes were offered by the Secretary Bijit Dutta.

In Dikhowmukh, the union observed the day with a daylong programme. In the open session of the Dikhowmukh function, Social worker Bharat Bharali presided over the meeting where speakers recalled the contribution of the king Chilarai. Art, recitation and speech delivery competitions were held among the students.
