Child care institute iugurated in Tangla

TANGLA, July 1: To secure the future of homeless child by educating them and providing them shelter

Rural Organization for Social Service, (ROSS), a local NGO based in Tangla iugurated a first of its kind child care iInstitute in Tangla on Friday.

The iugural programme was presided over by KKHSOU study centre Principal Binoy Medhi.

The Children Care Institute was iugurated by SDO Udalguri sub-division Dithakanda Hazarika.

Speaking on the occasion, Gautam Sahariah, CDPO said, “Maging a child care home is not an easy task. Providing the warmth of parents to homeless children is a herculean task. Many such homes were derecognized for violating norms in Baksa and Udalguri. He urged the NGO to create a homely and friendly environment for the children.”

Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Bipani Devi in her speech thanked the NGO for taking up such a great initiative to shelter the homeless children.

“The NGO has brought a ray of hope for the destitute children, she said. A total of nine children have been adopted and taken care of in the child care institute by ROSS. The institute has a seat capacity of 25 children.
