Child dies in road accident

Doomdooma, October 26: Kiranjyoti Gohain (4), son of Nitu Gohain of No. 1 Sonjan, Phillobari died in a tragic road accident on Wednesday on NH 37 near Tipuk Line No. 7 under Doomdooma PS while waiting for a bus to return home.  He along with his mother came to his uncle’s house there. According to reports received, Karunjyoti died on the spot when a speeding car (AS04 K 6226) coming from Dholla side and knocked him down in the middle of the road. The car belongs to Pulin Sarma of Sivasagar. He was returning to Sivasagar after offering Puja at Kachaikhati Than near Dholla. Pulin Sarma later surrendered before Doomdooma Police Station.
