Child goes missing in Silchar

Silchar, June 6: A girl child Trisha Roychoudhury (2) has been missing from the staff quarter of Assam University since Monday. She is a daughter of Shubhadeep Roychoudhury, assistant professor, Department of Life Science, Assam University and Dr Shatabhisha Chakraborty, medical officer at Assam University. The child along with the caretaker or maid has been missing. This has sent waves of shock to the varsity dwellers that include teaching and non teaching staffs and students.

 Two persons have already been detained. Out of these two, one is the boyfriend of the maid. The police have assured they would not leave any stone unturned in finding the girl. Till the filing of the report, search operations were being undertaken by Rakesh Roushan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Cachar.
