Child helpline formally launched

Tinsukia, August 7: Childline 1098 is a tiol 24 hour emergcy helpline for children who need care and protection. The project is undertaken by the ministry of Women and Child Development , Government of India, State Governments, various NGO’s and the corporate sector as well. The childline operations in Tinsukia district have ben formally launched at the office of Deputy Commissioner, conference hall. Runumi Gogoi, Chairperson, Assam commission for protection of child rights had launched the childline project on Friday.The launch of the childline saw the likes of Puru Gupta Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia district and Dhugdhajyoti Mahanta SP, tinsukia district.
