Child killed in mishap

TANGLA, Feb 3: A pall of gloom has prevailed in the town following an unfortute incident where a school student came under the rear wheels of a truck at Pujakhola area of Tangla town. The deceased, identified as Ayush Ansari (6), a Class II student of Rastriya Hindi Vidyalaya  of Tangla, was playing with his friends during leisure period at about 11.30 am on Friday. The child was loitering near a stranded truck which was being repaired when all of a sudden the 407 truck (AS01AC 5642) took off and crushed the child beneath its wheels. The incident drew strong resentment among local residents as the truck was lying non-functiol for quite a long time in the area which has a good number of schools. The father of the child, Akbar Ansari lives from hand-to-mouth. Meanwhile, Tangla Police have sent the body for post-mortem and seized the truck.
