Child labourer rescued

JOYSAGAR, July 13: The Sivasagar District Child Protection Board, with the help of Simaluguri Police, rescued a female child labourer from Simaluguri town on Wednesday. She hails from Betbari village of Sivasagar and an unidentified person had lured her parents by promising to give her a job in a person’s house in Nazira town. The child was reportedly brought to Simaluguri but after three days she managed to flee from the house and later local people rescued the child.

Police came and conducted her medical examination and later handed her over to the officers of the District Child Protection Board.
