Child labourer rescued

Dibrugarh, July 13: The District Task Force, created for the purpose of combating incidents of child labour in the district, has recovered a 10-year old girl working as a domestic help in Mohanbari. The child was found to be working in the government quarter of Sushma Rana Poon, a person employed in the office of the Joint Director of Food and Civil Supplies Department, Arunachal Pradesh. The child, in the meantime, has been shifted to Prerna Children Home. Responding to the incident, the Labour Department has sent a show-cause notice to Poon, and at the same time, filed a report with the Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station.
