Child labourers rescued

Joysagar, Dec 22: Sivasagar District Task Force, with the help of the District Labour Department, launched an operation on Tuesday to rescue child labourers engaged in various factories and car garages in and around Sivasagar town.

 In this operation Sivasagar Sadar Police team and District Magistrate PJ Sarmah were also present and the team was able to rescue three child labourers from a bakery located in Dhaiali area of the town.

Rescued child labourers were sent to the Joysagar Civil Hospital where medical examition was done. Later, they were sent to Swaplaya, a child care centre in Joysagar.
