Child scientist Ishan Barua makes it to NCSC tiol meet

TANGLA, Nov 4: In a no mean feat, Ishan Barua, a student of Asom Jatiya Bidyalaya, Tangla has been selected to present his science project in the NCSC (tiol Children’s Science Congress) tiol meet to be held at Gandhigar in Gujarat from December 28 to December 31.
 Ishan has been selected as a member of the 25-member Assam NCSC team at the State-level NCSC meet held in Kokrajhar from October 25 to October 28 for his project titled ‘Preservation of tomato by indigenous method’, which was appreciated by scientists at the Kokrajhar session. The project aimed at minimizing the post-harvesting loss which results in wastage of tomatoes as they cannot be preserved for long.
Ishan is the son of bajit Barua and Lanita Barua, residents of Ward no.4 of Tangla town in Udalguri district. Gumidhar Boro, Principal, and Manjul Barua, teacher of Asom Jatiya Bidyalaya, Tangla, expressed their satisfaction at the selection of Isahan for the tiol-level session. The Udalguri District Jourlists’ Union and Aryabhatta Science Centre of Udalguri district committee congratulated Ishan for his selection for the tiol meet.
