Childline centre at Nongpoh

SHILLONG, July 5: Former Chief Minister and Advisor to the State Government D.D Lapang iugurated the Childline Centre at Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi District in the presence of C. Lyngdoh, MLA & Parliamentary Secretary of Meghalaya. Speaking on the occasion, Lapang praised the work of Thomas Roy Mallai and Fr. Cyril Tirkey who took the responsibility to bring Childline to Nongpoh.
In Meghalaya, there are over 323 Childline centres.
He also said that the centre would be of immense help to orphans and abducted children. Lapang also applauded the Fathers and Nuns who contributed to this noble cause.
